Arrax

Description
Arrax was a dragon bred by House Targaryen. He was the mount of Lucerys Velaryon. He was the first dragon to die in the Dance of the Dragons.
In 'Fire & Blood,' Queen Alicent Hightower and her offspring made a claim that Ser Harwin Strong fathered the three sons of Rhaenyra Targaryen, not her husband Laenor Velaryon. King Viserys I Targaryen, to demonstrate his support for Rhaenyra and her sons' legitimacy as heirs to the Iron Throne, had a dragon egg put in each boy's cradle during their infancy. Those who questioned the boys' paternity did not anticipate the eggs to hatch, and they were disappointed when all three eggs did hatch. Arrax, the dragon that hatched for Rhaenyra's second son Lucerys Velaryon, was particularly noteworthy.
Arrax's color isn't stated in text, but the artist commissioned for the 2021 A Song of Ice and Fire Calendar, Sam Hogg, asked for clarification from George R.R. Martin's team and was told that Arrax's coloration was 'pearlescent white with yellow flame, golden eyes and a golden chest.'
