Description

Shrykos was a young she-dragon bound to Prince Jaehaerys Targaryen during the Dance of the Dragons.

When the half-crazed prophet known as the Shepherd incited an angry mob to invade the Dragonpit and rant against all dragons, Shrykos met her end. Bound by heavy chains, the dragon was attacked by a woodsman named Hobb the Hewer who jumped onto her neck and drove his axe into her skull while she roared and writhed in an attempt to throw him off. With his legs tightly wrapped around her neck, Hobb delivered seven blows, each time shouting out the name of one of the Seven. It was the final blow, delivered in the name of the Stranger, that ultimately killed Shrykos by smashing through her scales and bones into her brain. Shrykos is known to have killed many people in the Dragonpit before she was defeated, and she was never tamed by a rider.
